About Me

I grew up in a small town in China. I had an early childhood dream of becoming a scientist, because I wished to invent anti-aging drugs to keep my parents by my side forever… Although silly in nature, this dream steered my academic pursuits. After earning a B.S. in Chemistry from Nanjing University, I came to the US to pursue my PhD in biophysical chemistry at the University of Iowa, and conducted postdoctoral research in drug design at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY. As my career evolved, my interests shifted from disease treatment to disease prevention, propelling me into the realms of predictive health, data science (DS), and machine learning (ML). This transition landed me at Wayfair, where I grew from a machine learning scientist to a manager, and led a team optimizing Wayfair's digital marketing decisions. Today, I’m at Meta as a data science manager, collaborating with extensive cross-functional teams to enhance Meta’s ads products.
